Adjustable Mountable Filament Spooler for Raise3D N2/N2+
thingiverse
This is a filament spooler that can be adjusted to fit various sizes of filament (max spool width approximately 2.75" or 70mm). It accommodates different spool diameters as well, ranging from 6" to 8". The spool holder mounts directly onto the Raise3D N2 frame in the filament storage area and fits into either the left or lower spool bracket mounting hole. A screw adjusts the width of the bracket to fit whatever spool is inserted at any given time, and it is designed so that the side door can still close with the filament installed. I didn't design a solution for a second filament spool because I rarely work with dual extrusion. You will need 4 ball bearings with an 8mm ID and a 22m OD, approximately 8mm wide. I used roller skate bearings, which worked perfectly. Simply attach them to the posts using some superglue. Also, for seating the adjustment screw, you will require a 1/4" flanged bearing. I used this one: https://www.mcmaster.com/#57155k336/=1cs6ocq The screw post holds in place in the bearing due to friction, but you could also glue it in if you apply the glue carefully so as not to gum up the bearing. It should be tight enough to hold without glue. The bracket clamps onto the frame using #6-32 flat head hex drive screws and the holes are sized for heat-set threaded brass inserts like the ones shown here: https://www.mcmaster.com/#93365a130/=1cs717s
