Adjustable Magnetic Spool Holder

Adjustable Magnetic Spool Holder

thingiverse

This is a versatile spool holder for 3D printer filament. Magnets reside inside the small feet of each bearing block, allowing you to easily reposition them to handle almost any spool size. You'll need a thin steel plate, but it's possible to create something workable from your nearby e-waste collection. I was inspired by the TUSH design and added some features to make this spool holder generalizable while remaining sturdy enough to hold almost any spool. ### Materials Required * 12 magnets from VXB.com product number D41SH * 4 608-ZZ/C3 skate bearings * 4 M5x20 screws * 4 Nuts * 1 thin steel plate sourced from the scrap bin In case your magnets are slipping, you can cover the surface of your steel plate with grip tape or duct tape (or possibly some thin rubber with a backing adhesive) to make the surface more grippy.
