Adjustable magnetic cabinet catch
thingiverse
In the process of creating my Lack enclosure, I needed black catches that simply couldn't find anywhere, and Amazon wasn't an option (10€ for some cheap plastic? Really?). So I decided to design my own. ## **Hardware needed:** **1 10x3 round neodymium magnet** **1 m4x24 screw** **2 3x16 wood screws** ## **Print settings:** Print the files with the orientation they come with. You need supports but not a ton, you could use the "custom supports" plugin in Cura by Krasimir Stefanov to generate supports only on the center of both parts. ## **Installation:** The part with the magnet is a little tighter to ensure the screw and the magnet won't move, but you can always use a drop of glue. Just pass the screw through the hole, then secure the magnet. Once the catch is installed, regulate the position of the magnet by simply turning it.
