This adjustable laptop stand, developed by Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group, enables users to combat health concerns related to sitting too long while working at their desks. Made from 3-D printable joints and open-beam, the stand is an economical DIY project for consumers with a 3-D printer. The stand can adjust from flat for storage to "tv-tray" height or anywhere in between, and its design allows for future modifications using OpenSCAD file. Additionally, this open-source laptop stand has versatile applications, such as being used as an art table for various age groups or a document holder in the office.
