Adjustable iPad Air 2 mount
thingiverse
This is a free-standing adjustable stand/mount designed specifically for the iPad Air 2. I required something for GoToMeeting that didn't have the camera pointing up my nose. - The "iPad grabber" part should be positioned on its side with supports holding the mounting tab in place. - The main arm needs additional support around the post that slides into the feet of the stand. - The base should print flat in its natural position, without any need for supports. - Print the small arm on one of the flat sides; it doesn't require any supports. - The knurled bolt (two are needed) should be printed with the head flat on the print bed and the post vertical, with no supports. It's essential to scale the bolts to 99% on both the X and Y axes (not the Z axis) for a smooth thread-in process. If you fail to do this scaling on the bolt, it will be an extremely tight fit and may prove difficult to thread at all. I found that I didn't need to add any supports in the circular openings; they printed just fine with PLA and likely would with PETG as well. UPDATE: An added feature includes a clip for the iPad 7th gen - 10.2".
