Adjustable Idler Tension for GT2 Timing Belt Pulley with NEMA 17

This design is for applications where you need an adjustable tension on a GT2 timing belt across a long range, like up to 3" of tension. I made it for a friend in ECE4960 Senior Design at Clemson University. I also added the motor holder that vertically mounts a NEMA 17 stepper motor at the right height to use with this adjustable idler.
Parts Needed
- M3 bolts (8, approx 20mm) Just buy a [set on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VNDFYNQ/) - M3 nuts (6) ^Comes with a set - Idler Pulley for GT2 timing belt [Amazon link](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BPLPM7Y) - M4 bolt and nut to hold Idler in place, needs to be 25mm long - GT2 timing belt - Get a [kit on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/KeeYees-Timing-Tensioner-Torsion-Printer/dp/B07JKT5BZQ/)
Notes and Tips
This design is for if you made a custom GT2 timing belt loop that isn't the perfect length, such as is typical for a senior design project with no budget where you're using wood as much as possible because it's cheap but not accurate. To create the belt loop, I recommend overlapping the GT2 belt ends by about 1cm and sewing them together. This will result in a reasonably flexible connection that is also secure. You can add super glue if you don't trust it.
