Adjustable hue play mount for dell monitor
thingiverse
A colleague wanted to mount his Hue Play on a DELL monitor stand (here its a P2419H, should work on others as well). Features of this design are: - without any double-sided tape - possibility to align the light to preferred position - clean table without the original hue stand on it Used and modified the following things for this design: Dell Docking station mount by Legufix F https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3454163 Open Source Universal Ball Joint (to reuse!) by DieZopfe https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4739696 Additional to the M3 Screw which comes with the hue play you will need two M2, 12mm long screws, nuts and washer to assemble the set up. Not necessary but maybe easier to assemble: A few drops of superglue to fix nuts and washer in their position. There is a 30 degree angle between the mounting plane of the ball joint an the plane of the monitor in order to have the hue play lamp parallel to the wall in this specific three monitor set up (see images). A qucik method to get the second mount for the other side is to just mirror the "dell-mount-smaller" in your prefered slicer software. Keep in mind that this also will lead to left-handed thread for the screw_3.stl then! Printer settings with PLA on an Anycubic i3 mega: dell-mount-smaller: Support: Yes (Tree) Density 15% Brim Resolution 0,2mm Small parts (modified_ball_v3, screw_v3, hue-play-mount): Support: No Density 40% Skirt Resolution 0,1mm
