This webcam stand is designed to securely fasten onto a desk using a robust clamp mechanism. The mount boasts an adjustable height setting, ensuring the camera remains stable and steady throughout its operation. Update 13/10/2015: Additional files have been included for a similar webcam mount specifically tailored for use on Delta style printers featuring square aluminum extrusion frames. Assembly for this version is remarkably similar to the original desk clamp setup. The provided package includes a desk clamp, a mounting bracket designed for the Microsoft Lifecam HD3000, knobs for the clamp and mount bolts, as well as caps to protect your desk surface from damage. A top rod cover is also included to safeguard against sharp edges on the rods and maintain their parallel alignment. To assemble the mount, print all the necessary parts using PLA at a 0.2mm layer height with no support required and an infill of 25%. You will need to acquire the following additional components:1 x metal coat hanger2 x M4 25mm hex head bolts2 x M4 12mm hex head bolts4 x M4 nuts1. Cut two straight equal lengths from the coat hanger, ensuring that both rods are perfectly straight and parallel to each other. The length of the rods can be determined based on the desired vertical movement of the camera.2. Attach the knobs to all four bolts using a strong adhesive like SuperGlue - they will become securely attached once set.3. Clamp: Insert the nuts into the slots on the clamp, applying heat with a hot air gun if necessary to avoid splitting the plastic. Once properly positioned, screw in the 25mm bolts until enough of the bolt shows through to secure the end caps in place. SuperGlue can be used for added security, but it should not be necessary - the bolts should create a thread in the caps.4. Using a small amount of SuperGlue, carefully push the rods into the holes on top of the clamp, ensuring that the tops of the rods are perfectly level. The holes go all the way through, so set them level before the glue sets to avoid any complications.5. Install the nuts into the camera mount using some heat as needed.6. Install the mount onto the rods and secure it with the 12mm bolts once installed, ensuring they lock firmly against the rod.7. Finally, install the rod-cover to prevent accidental eye injuries from the sharp edges on the rods.Scaled at its current size, the clamp can fit comfortably onto a desk with a depth of 23mm or less.
