Adjustable height shim
thingiverse
This adjustable shim, designed for furniture making and leveling purposes, requires two identical pieces printed and assembled with their shiny sides facing each other. Secure them using a #6-32 machine screw and hex nut set, ensuring appropriate length matching. Version 3 features additional screw hole options for attaching one or both sides, useful in woodworking applications. In your print settings, use regular infill density or slightly denser, with a default honeycomb fill pattern from slic3r proving strong despite the slanted orientation. Be mindful not to exceed 125% of the original height when adjusting the shim, as this may cause the machine screw to protrude.
