This versatile grip has been crafted to enable users to accomplish a wide range of daily tasks such as brushing their teeth, combing their hair, writing with a pencil, and other tasks that involve holding a small cylindrical object. Rather than creating task-specific hands for each activity as initially planned, we streamlined the design to make it more convenient for users by implementing a universal "catch-all" design. The 3-pronged claw structure in the STL provides the foundation of the hand, while also accommodating a Velcro strip as the adjustable mechanism. In the STL file, you'll find that one pronged piece can move freely along the track in the two-pronged piece. A 1-inch wide Velcro strip should be attached to the bottom of the one-pronged piece so it fits snugly in the slot behind the track where it slides through. The other side of the Velcro (hooks) should be securely attached to the Python wrist. By pulling the Velcro strip through the slot and sticking it to the wrist, users can tighten the claw to fit their object of choice. With the claw tightened, users can then complete their task and easily release the strip when finished.
