Adjustable Fletching Jig - UPDATED

UPDATE - V2 CLAMP IS NOW EVEN THICKER WITH A ROCK-SOLID HINGE, REDUCING THE RISK OF BREAKAGE BY HALF. After my fletching jig suddenly gave way just as I was about to fletch a full set of brand new arrows, I had to make a tough decision: should I break the bank for a replacement or get creative and design one from scratch? It didn't take me long to figure out what I'd do! There are several models available on Thingiverse, all based on the speed-fletch design - 3 fletchings at once, fixed position, fixed angle. However, I wanted my new jig to be a lot more versatile, just like my old one: adjustable offset, adjustable angle, and the option to use either 3 or 4 fletches. My top priority was to make it as easy to print in 3D as possible - after all, no one likes to spend hours wrestling with complex parts. However, I did have to compromise a bit on the clamp's design. This is my third iteration (beta) and I'm sharing it as a work in progress, hoping to get your feedback and suggestions along the way. The jig itself is incredibly lightweight, so it needs to be securely screwed onto a base to prevent it from toppling over. The clamp is printed in one piece and uses a section of filament as the hinge pin, giving it a rock-solid feel that's hard to match with traditional designs. However, you will need to reshape the handles with a bit of heat after printing - it's a small price to pay for such precision and control. You'll also need a 10mm x 4mm neodymium disc magnet, a thin steel plate on the back of the clamp, and a 20mm x 7mm compression spring. Please make sure to read the print settings and post-printing instructions carefully before getting started - I want you to get the most out of your new jig!
