Adjustable filament spool holder cones
thingiverse
This design involves creating and installing two cones and washers, with an optional nut retention for one of the cones. The 5/16 threaded rod is fitted with two 608 bearings and secured by nuts on both ends within a wood bracket. The angled opening in the bracket prevents the rod from falling out. The cones can be easily removed or added without dismantling the rod, simply by pushing back on the spring. Each cone features a slot for easy removal and installation. To change spools, pull the rod out from the holder, separate the cones, slide one off, put the new spool on the rod, and reattach the cone. The plunger and spring hold the cone in place.
