Adjustable Feet Height For ANJO Tripod by F5VMJ
thingiverse
These are adjustable feet to vary the individual height of my ANJO tripod's legs. It keeps my dish pedestal perfectly vertical when AMSAT QO-100 roving. This simplifies and speeds up station setup on irregular or sloping ground during a temporary deployment. For this a bubble spirit level is essential on the dish mounting tube. No more frustration whilst setting up the station or having to wedge random objects under feet. No more searching for perfectly flat ground either. Each foot consists of four 3D printed parts. An M8 brass screw insert is used, into which a M8 x 100mm bolt is fitted. Other lengths can be used of course. A semicircular toe piece is screwed to the bolt's lower end. A hand adjustable knob with its plug are epoxied to the upper end. Araldite or similar can be used, with the bolt hanging vertically whilst this epoxy glue is drying. The tripod leg slots fully into the 3D printed foot. A rectangular peephole on the base is used to ensure that the tripod leg is inserted all the way in. This also serves as a drainage hole on the bottom to prevent water accumulation. The foot can then be secured with weatherproof stainless steel M6 x 50mm bolts with nut and washer sets. Do not over-tighten. Printed in PETG for heat and weather resistance. Tweaking of size printed by a few percent may be necessary to accommodate your particular printer tolerances. The M8 bolt pieces can be printed vertically without issue. I suggest printing the foot pieces on their side for maximum strength. Time consuming supports will be needed but this is unavoidable. 73 Paul, F5VMJ https://twitter.com/F5VMJ https://anjo-antennen.de/ Aluminium tripod STV36060
