Adjustable E3D V6 / Volcano Layer Fan

Adjustable E3D V6 / Volcano Layer Fan

thingiverse

A collaborative project between thatch and myself has resulted in a lightweight fan design that accommodates both E3D V6 and Volcano length heater blocks. Inspired by Tom114's remix of the Prusa MK2 fan, this innovative creation aims to provide seamless functionality. To ensure optimal performance, every print can be executed without supports; however, there is a potential issue with the blower bracket's trap nut that may necessitate supports for specific machines. The blower bracket can be easily adjusted along a half dovetail to achieve the desired height before securing it in place. Required components include: * A 50mmx15mm radial fan * An E3D cold zone fan and plastite screws * (1) M3x35mm cap head screw (longer alternatives are acceptable) * (1) M3x20mm cap head screw (longer alternatives are acceptable) * (2) M4x20mm screws for the blower * (2) M3 nuts To achieve optimal results, consider the following print settings: Printer: Prusa MK2 Rafts: Irrelevant Supports: Irrelevant Resolution: 0.3 or higher Infill: 25% Notes: For best performance, use ABS or PETG as this design sits close to the hotend.
