Adjustable Dual J Head X Hictop Carriage

This is an adjustable dual J-Head X Carriage for the Hictop Prusa I3, designed to work seamlessly with dual E3D style hotends and Bowden setups. Inspired by previous Dual X-Carriage design summaries, one of which wished for adjustability, I combined this idea with the slide from the Hictop Sensor mount for a really good adjustment system that's extremely accurate. Currently, only one hotend is mounted due to unfamiliarity with changing settings for the second extruder in the Hictop Marlin. The system performed well initially but required refinement after encountering some inconvenience. A redesign of the slide addressed these issues by moving the hotends as close together as possible and elevating the mountpoint 15 mm, providing more vertical print space. This V2 is a significant improvement, in my opinion. Print Settings: Printer: Hictop Prusa I3 Alluminum Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: .1 Infill: 100 Notes: The only piece printed with supports was the slider due to printing all components upright to prevent warping of the ABS. The version 2 was printed in high detail at .1 resolution, using PETG material, which works extremely well. All other settings remained the same for ease of printing. Post-Printing Setup Additional hardware required: M3 x 16 Screws (2) for X Belt M3 nut (11) for X Belt Screws, Slider attachment, Jhead Cap Attachment, and slider adjustment M3 x 8 Screws (4 total) for Slider Attachment M3 x 50 (1) for adjustment screw M3 x 25 (4) for Jhead Cap attachment Assembly process: Start with the Base Plate; attempting to assemble in a different order will make it challenging to secure the next set of screws. Before placing the X-Plate, position all nuts in their respective slots. The thumbscrew top and M3 nut on the adjustment screw should be permanently fixed using super glue. For optimal performance, file the slider and slider base for smooth movement while maintaining a snug fit to prevent undesired movement. Pre-threading the adjustment screw before assembly is also recommended. This setup will result in approximately 10 mm of reduced height due to the longer extruder.
