Adjustable platform for calibrating gyroscopes and accelerometers of radio-controlled vertical launch vehicles such as quadcopters is printed with no support required. The pylon and lift are hollowed out with open bottoms, one base, one pylon, one platform, two lifts, and two cylinders are needed. A triangle pattern in the platform is called an Isogrid. The pylon and cylinders fit into the base, secured with glue if desired or if the fit is loose. Gears are glued to the top of the lifts, used to turn the lifts to adjust height. The lifts snap into corner sockets. Screw the lifts halfway into the cylinders then snap the other socket onto the pylon. A bubble level is needed to adjust the platform. One was printed, requiring tweaks in diameter of the pylon base and shortening it. Some reinforcement was added to the sockets on the platform. The lifts need ends of pegs at the bottom sanded just a tiny amount, and some careful force is needed the first time turning them into the cylinders. It helps to glue the gears onto them first. Print at least 30% infill on the lifts, pylons, and platform with 2 perimeters for strength on the balls and sockets. A test printed lift and cylinder were done. Pegs at bottom seemed too long despite having plenty of clearance when modeling, so they were shortened some. A second test print still wouldn't thread into the cylinder. It might be because quick prints are being done at 0.3mm layer height. Just got it to go in with some force. Pegs may need careful sanding and use of thinner layers, higher % infill too. The gear fits on top of the lift and will have to be glued on.
