I had to modify the original clip as it didn't perform as expected for me, so I cut it down and adjusted its width to fit better. Additionally, I printed the modified version in PLA, which seems to lose its grip due to high temperatures affecting the vent cover. To solve this issue, I designed an alternative clip with a different approach - instead of gripping, it hitched up securely. Although the new design is slightly compromised due to some reverse-engineering inaccuracies, it still works surprisingly well from the first attempt. However, its effectiveness might be highly dependent on the car model; in my case, a Hyundai Getz seems to respond well to this clip.
