This is a modified Bowden extruder that allows easy adjustment of spring tension using an M3 allen wrench. It's specifically designed for MK7 and MK8 drive gear and comes equipped with a 688ZZ (8x16x5) bearing. After running 1Km of filament through the extruder without any issues, I made some changes to use a standard push-fit design with a 1/8th inch thread and an M6 bolt size instead. Filament is now guided all the way through the inside of the extruder, using PTFE tubing up to the drive gear. The extruder itself measures 17mm in thickness with a 2mm recess for the motor. It's designed to be mounted on a wall, but depending on the mounting style and drive gear used, you may need to adjust the bolt size. I secured it to a 5mm panel using four M3 bolts that had enough length. To assemble this extruder, you'll need to print out various parts such as arm part A & B, base, face mounting piece, spring adjust short, motor mount, and spring adjust long with cover. Here are the recommended print settings: * Rafts: Not necessary * Supports: Required for the motor recess area * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: At least 25%
