Adjustable BLTouch Auto-level Sensor Mount for Anet A8, Mesh-leveling-friendly
thingiverse
UPDATE (Apr. 29, 2020)- Added STLs for 3/16" (4.8mm) standoffs to bring the sensor to correct height. Apologies for oversight. This is an update to this thing, adding adjustable mount for BLTouch sensor. Sensor sled has been shortened to allow use of retractable ball point pen spring cut to size. This adds tension and seems to give much more repeatable leveling results. More info on original thing's page but here's the quick blurb: Main goal of this sensor mount is to bring BLTouch sensor into position where entire bed can be measured for mesh-leveling while giving easy sensor height adjustability without compromising thermal stability with removal of heatsink. Height adjustability is achieved by using M3 screw, a feature I consider mandatory these days. This foregoes having to update firmware every time for small changes to bed height/level. PROS- Works with common BLTouch/3DTouch leveling sensor Sensor range covers entire area of hot bed. Fine tunable height adjustment by turning M3 screw. Compatible with very efficient common fan duct model. Reduced X-axis carriage weight compared to stock assembly. CONS- Catches glass bed clamps in certain situations. Mount flexes enough to spring out of the way but it is still a con. Sensor requires standoffs to raise it high enough to work. An appropriate STL model has been added for convenience.
