Fully printable spring and ball are built in. I designed this from the normal metal ones they sell, figured I'd save some money and make my own. After a lot of testing with PLA spring tensions, I finally found the right spring size to use. It was a long process, but it shows the capabilities of springs made in PLA. I just tested it and it works great, just as good as metal ones, and even clicks in a bit more because of the stepping lines. This definitely makes my favorites list; it's going to save me a lot of money in the future. Add your name or designs to the plate if you want. PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS: After printing, push the ball down to activate the spring or you may need to get under any layers that fused together. But it should be easy to do if your printer is calibrated correctly; nothing should touch. For multicolor prints like the one in the photo, pause at 38.2 MM at .2 layer height. The carpentry work is the same as any other door assembly. They're all set to standard size for the rectangular holes you need to chisel out. I used a 3/4 inch hole saw for the spring.
