Adirondack Chair
pinshape
This is a model of a classic adirondack chair. The STL files are derived from full-scale plans, so you'll need to scale them down to fit your printer's space. Scaling each piece by 20% results in a model chair that measures about 7 inches high, 7 inches deep, and 6.5 inches wide. Attempting to print it at less than 15% scaling is not recommended, as assembly becomes increasingly tedious even if the prints turn out fine. I've included several photos of the blue and white one I created for my wife, featuring 2-56 hex bolts and nylon locking nuts used for assembling some pieces, with glue being a viable alternative. The original plans call for creating and mounting each seat slat and back slat separately, which proved challenging during my first print. To simplify assembly, I found it easier to create whole assemblies of seat slats and back slats, held together by thin ribbons across the back and bottom. These assemblies can then be bent into place. Print two identical Side_A pieces, one left and one right, and consider printing two bottom braces, with an extra one available for additional support underneath the front of the seat.
