ADIMLab Pillow Block Bearing Mount
cults3d
Allows you to use a pillow block bearing with the ADIMLab gantry, making your z-axis rods quieter and preventing them from moving up and down. I replaced my lead screws with 2mm pitch lead screws and found that the 500mm screws I ordered were shorter than what the printer came with, so the pillow block bearing solved the problem of being too short as well. The factory bracket is about 2.9mm thick, but I printed mine at 5mm for more rigidity from the plastic. The screws are long enough even at 5mm thickness. You can use the customizer to specify your preferred thickness. You need a thick infill so that the big screw going through the bar on top can be screwed in tightly without cracking the plastic. *** WORD OF CAUTION! *** While this prevents leadscrews from moving up and down and rattling around, it can affect print quality if leadscrews are not straight. Only use this if you're sure your leadscrews are straight and also make sure that your X-axis bar is firm. I came up with this solution because my new 500mm lead screws were shorter than the stock set and I'm also using a flexible coupler that I wanted to ensure doesn't allow the leadscrew to move vertically.
