ADIMLab Killer Cobra Kooler
thingiverse
This is a 2-part head and cooler designed specifically for the ADIMLab printer, not the Gantry S model. To assemble it, you'll need to print two separate parts and glue them together, aligning them as shown in the pictures. Use any type of adhesive you prefer, such as CA, Krazy Glue, or Hot Glue. The cooling unit relies on two 5015 centrifugal fans for effective cooling. This design feature allows for easy removal of the cooling unit by attaching it with rare earth magnets instead of screws. To prevent overheating, ensure that the magnets are no thicker than 3mm and place them between the counter-sunk holes on the top plate. For a secure attachment, use GOOP Glue or Gorilla Glue. The larger the magnet, the stronger its grip will be on the top plate. These fans protrude from the back of the print head, making it easier to access and maintain the printer. When replacing the factory fan and cooler, you'll need shorter screws to secure the stepper motor to the extruder or create spacers for proper alignment. The counter-sunk holes are designed to accommodate the one nut and bolt on the underside of the plate. In an update, I've modified the design to accommodate 40mm fans, which require additional supports due to their larger size. Use supports from the build plate only, and you may need to rotate them in your slicer to find the optimal printing configuration. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Jon Bourgeois for his extra efforts on the 40mm version of this design!
