ADIMLab Killer Cobra Kooler 40mm Fan Remix

<p>This is a remix of the 40mm fan version of the Adimlab Killer Cobra Kooler (<a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3315784">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3315784</a>). The fans needed for this should be 40mm x 40mm x 10mm. 20mm thick fans will not work without further modifications.</p> <p>The parts cooler has a shorter fan box to clear the z leadscrews in the full right position. Both the parts cooler and hotend cooler are a little longer to also help clear the right side of the printer. The hotend cooler has a redesigned cooling tip that's flatter and has a bigger screw adapter diameter. The area to clear the rear bolt is also redesigned and is bigger to accommodate the nut better. The fan mounting area of both parts is also thicker.</p> <p>The Hotend cooler is fairly easy to print with the fan box on the heatbed and the cooling tip straight up in the air.</p> <p>The parts cooler is more difficult to print. I spent some time with Meshmixer to try and find an optimum orientation for printing. I ended up printing at around a 45 degree angle and slightly tilted to one side with supports and a raft. In the pictures I'm holding the part at the approximate orientation. It did require some very careful removal of some support on one of the tips.</p> <p>HARDWARE: Fan screws I used #4 x 3/4 inch wood screws; Magnets I used 8 each 2mm x 10mm glued on with superglue. I would recommend bigger magnets 20 mm would be good but no more than 3mm thick.</p> <p>Glue the two parts together with the fan boxes aligned as in the pictures.</p> <p>UPDATE: 4/16/2020 To make this work if you have the Gantry white board version go here in the Adimlab Gantry Facebook Group. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1235236596606278/permalink/1458856774244258/?hc_location=ufi">https://www.facebook.com/groups/1235236596606278/permalink/1458856774244258/?hc_location=ufi</a></p> <p>UPDATE: 5/5/19 I've re-sliced the part cooling portion using the Cura 3.6 auto-orientation plugin set at "Calculate extended optimal printing orientation".
