I had some excellent prescription Adidas sunglasses (model A165). I unfortunately over-stretched the left-temple hinge and it snapped. Fortunately, these sunglasses are quite modular. A brand-new pair of glasses frames (without lenses cost ~$120-200 USD)!!! And only one store in the UK carried a new hinge spare part for ~$20 USD!!! So I decided to create my own custom hinge. This is specifically for the left-temple, but I'll get around to making the right temple if someone needs it. Post-Printing A bit of sanding/cleanup with a nail file The design might need some clean-up with a nail file to fit perfectly (especially for the 2 'frankenstein' bolts or the hole). But it only takes a few minutes and it worked fine. How I Designed This Tinkercad I just took measurements with a standard ruler and used Tinkercad.com to design it. It took ~2-3 iterations of design & printing to get it just right. Left-temple hinge by itself. Printed hinge installed in sunglasses
