Additional Filament guide for Prusa MMU2 Spool Holder
thingiverse
First of all thanks to kommisar for this awesome spool holder design. There were only 2 things which I think needed a little upgrade: - due to the angle in which the filament is drawn from the spool it easily tangles with the second winding on the buffer wheel - the filament is drawn across the rim of the spool which produces a nasty scraping sound while printing. I think I came up with a nice solution. The rail-adapter clamps onto the rail between the coil stand and the blank stand (roughly the middle of the spool) which lets the spool unwind to the center instead of across the rim. [quiet! :)]. You need to push a ptfe tubing into the hole designed for it. (It's a tight fit, but works like charm). The other side of the tubing attaches the stop adapter which prevents the tubing from getting drawn into the filament guide and lets you access the filament very easily. The length of the tubing depends on your spool size but one size might as well fit all standard spools. Just be sure to leave some space for a proper bending radius. Hope you like the remix/add-on.
