Additional Bottom double layered Stevenson shield for Netatmo outdoor sensor
thingiverse
This is to complete Stevenson screen(housing) structure for Netatmo outdoor module to isolate from ground radiation and reflex. Theory: Basic design of the stevenson screen needs double layer at top and bottom (total for 4 dishes without holes) to isolate/minimize influence from heat-bridge and direct radiation effect except heat and humidity purely from the atmospheric air flow as much as possible. You may need add one more screen at the top (bigger diameter is better). You can add this to the existing original shield already attached to the wall from the bottom with glue. No support design. If you are using Cura as a slicer, please turn on the experimental option of "enable bridge setting". Filament color must be white, if not, this housing absorbs heat (endothermic reaction) which is no point to making this. Sticking aluminum foil over the surface of top dish and second top dish has a great advantage on insulation. Sensor location note: If you felt direct sun-light effect is strong in your location, you can use bigger diameter top hat (white color, plastic dish etc) to make a complete shadow. You can put this up in the air about 1.5m ~ 2m from the ground, Avoid the near wall, if the wall is heat up, keep at least 50cm away from the wall.
