adding prescription lens to Eachine EV100 goggles
thingiverse
I wanted to upgrade my Eachine EV100 Goggles by adding prescription lenses. I had printed the cutting maker, a crucial component for this project. Next, I carefully took an old plastic lens with a close diopter matching my current prescription and marked its estimated center using a marker. Then, I drew the cutting border onto the lens using the 3D-printed part. After that, I used a grinder to grind the lens to the marked borders. Once I had finished grinding, I washed the lens thoroughly to remove any remaining plastic debris. Finally, I inserted the ground lenses into my EV100 goggles and fine-tuned their diopters using the built-in diopter tuner. This modification was successful with plastic lenses. The dimensions of these lenses are 26 x 17.5 mm, with a 2 mm radius.
