Added Buttons Mini Retro TV
thingiverse
Additions : (1) An On/Off button on the back. (2) A channel change (and other functions) button under the screen (code and idea by Lee). (3) A charging indicator light. (1) The on/off button at the back can be bought from many places : (5.8x5.8x7mm PCB DIP Mounting Tact Tactile Push Button Switch Latching 6 Pin) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07H8VW9YJ? It is soldered to the T7 on/off switch solder pads using the same method seen in the original instructable at step 15 : https://www.instructables.com/Mini-Retro-TV/ (2) The channel change button is a very old one I bought, which I can no longer find the source. It's 6.2 X 6.2mm H=5.0mm momentary switch. A standard 6x6 switch will obviously fit in there just fine with some glue. (3) The charging indicator is a small piece of clear 1.3mm trimmer (strimmer) line hot glued to the blue charging light. You can get this anywhere. Example : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Oregon-69-482-CL-Round-Strimmer-Trimmers/dp/B07SQKP6B3/ Alterations : Various small alterations have been made to various sizes that fit my screen, and make it more centred. All the screen seem slightly different I have included some different offsets which move the screen to the left nothing, 0.2mm & 0.4mm. The multi function single button below the screen is somebody else's idea and code. If you want to use this software and just install it simply on the ESP32 (recommended!) it can be downloaded from here : >## Program the ESP32 Download this [Bin File Zip](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bXusOZq6FEuDI1piCnWZVPy3Iq91Zb0v/view?usp=sharing) and unzip the bin file. Download the Espressif Flash Download Tool from [https://www.espressif.com/en/support/download/other-tools](https://www.espressif.com/en/support/download/other-tools). Unzip it. Plug the D1 Mini ESP32 into the computer's USB port and run the flash_download_tool_3.9.5.exe. Set ChipType to ESP32 and OK it. Change the setting in the Flash Tool so that it reflects the settings in the above image. (you have to type in the 0x00) Select your active COM port and click start. Once the upload has finished, unplug the ESP32... job done.

Notes : The multifunction button should be connected to GPIO 21 and GND (ground)

MiniRetroTV Converter Software : A very basic program I wrote for downloading video and putting them on the Mini Retro TV ( see : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktQFWlnue6g ).
