Add-ons for PiKon Telescope and Manfrotto Compact Tripod
thingiverse
I recently constructed the PiKon telescope (https://pikonic.com), a remarkable 3D printing and Raspberry Pi project that I am proud to have completed. To provide an ad-hoc network, I set up my Raspberry Pi to create a wireless connection, then used my old iPad as a viewer, allowing me to utilize the PiKon telescope anywhere. I had to modify the original tripod mount of the PiKon project to fit my Manfroto Compact, so I redesigned it to include a plate. Next, I created an attachment for the battery pack to fit securely on the Manfroto Compact. The lower part has a convenient outlet for the USB cable, while the upper section is closed. If you want to build your own PiKon telescope and have a Manfroto Compact tripod, here are the files to help you get started.
