I designed these brackets specifically to bridge the gap between shower mounts and siding on my house. I installed an outdoor shower near the swimming pool, but with the mounts being perpendicular to the wall they sit on and siding at a 10-degree angle, I needed something to provide support underneath. To prevent any water from seeping behind them, apply caulk along the top edge, about half an inch deep. The nameplate faces outward, and the recessed area in the center allows for extra clearance to secure the mounting rod with a 1/4-20 nut.
