I found printing in Flashforge elastic material gave a much more forgiving fit. PLA would bind too much with the HME, and still have a sizeable leak. Remix of karelhabig adapters (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4247702) for fitting a standard 15mm/22mm HME filter in-between the canister and pump of the Laerdal Compact Suction Unit. The purpose is to prevent viral contamination of the pump and environment that the pump expels air into. As per pictures, we also suggest using a standard ETT mount to achieve a 180 degree bend, and securing the canister to the pump with tape or some other means (eg hook/loop fastener, rubber bands). This makes the unit more stable. We plan on printing these as RED (HME to canister part) and GREEN (HME/ETT mount to suction part), with the idea that the RED part is contaminated by use and the GREEN isn't. However we will be treating both as single-use. I printed Karel's parts (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4247702) but they didn't fit well probably due to printer differences. I re-modeled from scratch, and now the 2 adapters are compatible with any 15mm/22mm ETT mount and HME filter. However, due to printer/material differences it is worth printing out one copy, then doing a test fit. If the dimensions need to be adjusted, they can be via the fusion 360 files. If you are unable to do this, contact me and I may be able to send you a custom STL file with the change in dimensions that you require. Thanks again to Karel for the inspiration.
