Adaptors for Festool dust suction hose D21,5 x 5m HSK

Are you also completely disturbed by those non-interchangeable sizes of dust extraction hoses? Nothing fits nothing. I'm done with adjusting regular PVC pipes on the lathe and fixing things with duct tape, so I've made these adapters. Hopefully someone else can benefit from it too.I've designed and printed these adaptors for the Festool dust suction hose D21,5 x 5m HSK to connect the Bosch GOP250CE (~27.5mm ribbed dust tube) and Makita BO5444 (conical 22.3mm dust tube) sanders.Adaptors have the inside thread to directly screw in the Festool hose. Applicable adaptor can be screwed on the hose and then plugged in the dust port of the Makita or Bosch sander.For the other end use 'Vacuum-35mm-adaptor' to slide the hose over a regular (Dutch?) vacuum mouth piece. Or print the 'Oneida-50mm-adaptor', if you like to connect the hose(s) to an Oneida Air System Cyclone.The dust extraction accessory (nr. 2608190054) of the Bosch GOP250CEdoes not have a conical dust tube, but a rather stiff plastic tube with a few rims, so I made three variants. One has an inner diameter of 27.5 mm and can be (semi-)permanently fitted by carefully heating the adapter and sliding it onto this tube. Outer diameter of this adaptor is 35mm, so the vacuum cleaner adapter 'vacuum-35mm-adaptor.stl' may be used as a quick coupling. The other variant has an inner diameter of 28.7mm and wil nicely slide on the ribbed tube if you first fit it with some layers of duct tape to play the role of a rubber grommet. Last one might be the handiest. Install 'Bosch 35mm Outer Quick Lock' after gentle heating so that the 'Vacuum 35mm Adapter' can be used as a quick coupler.The 'Bosch-GOP250CE-dust-ring' is a special case born out of frustration. With the dust extraction accessory you have to use the (old style?) AVZ 93 G plate (Nr. 2608000493) WITHOUT elevated center. Unfortunately these plates are nowhere to be found anymore, and the 'new' (elevated) AVZ 93 G plates (going under the SAME article number!) have a 5mm gap (air leak) to the mouth piece. Unfortunately, this has a significant impact on the amount of air actually drawn in through the holes in the sandpaper. With this simple ring this air leak is healed and the air stream effectively improved. Bosch can buy this design for $1000 from me, you can have it for free! :-)You'll also find a curious adaptor for the Evolution F210 saw. This connects to the dust port at the back of this machine, that normally only can be used for a dust bag. I gave this adaptor an inner diameter of 39mm, so it can be quickly connected by plugging in the 'Vacuum-35mm-adaptor'.Category: DIY
