The Nordlicht bottle dynamo was undoubtedly the most exceptional bottle dynamo ever manufactured. Its efficiency, reliability and remarkable robustness made it last for decades in regular use. However, its production ceased several years ago, leaving owners without any means to maintain their Nordlicht dynamos due to the unavailability of replacement rubber idlers. The best available option now is the AXA HR dynamo, with replacement rubber rollers still in production. Although the AXA HR rubbers are somewhat larger than those for the Nordlicht, they are not directly compatible. This adapter enables an AXA HR rubber roller to be fitted onto the Nordlicht dynamo, allowing it to remain operational.
