Adaptor to fit Adjustable Foot to Picnic Table
prusaprinters
I find the original foot to be a very elegant and practical design, but the table I wanted to fix had tubular legs. The foot on one of my garden tables has rusted-away & is 2"+ shorter than the other 3 legs.I took the Housing.stl model from the model I remixed here, flipped that upside down, split it to remove the housing and added a small cup sized to fit the tubular leg.I printed the whole thing in 98A TPU, thinking that will better withstand the outdoors than PLA. I lazily attached the cup to the leg with duct tape, because the TPU deformed with the weight of the table & looked like it would just cup rainwater & promote more rusting. It also helps keep the foot on the leg when moving the table around.Three M4x12 bolts and nuts tied adaptor to housing and the finished product is looking good enough for my needs. We will see whether it holds up to a lot of abuse, in the months to come.
