Adaptor for winding cones on an AVL bobbin winder
thingiverse
This is an adapter for winding yarn onto cones using a double-ended bobbin winder like the ones displayed in the image. I've tested it on an older AVL bobbin winder, and while I'd anticipate similar success with Schacht or comparable models, it's crucial to hear from users who have tried it with these winders so that this information can be updated accurately. Primarily, you print out this component and then insert it into the base of a cardboard cone. This fills the wide end of the cone, making it feasible to fit onto the bobbin winder. It's particularly useful for handling large quantities of thin thread or yarn, as well as for reusing cones that yarn comes packaged in.
