Adapter XT60H-M to Type-C FNot so long ago, I purchased a wonderful TS80P soldering iron, which gradually began to replace my favorite T-12 soldering station from everyday working. A lot can be said about it ... but in a nutshell: it is technical perfection. And, of course, there was a question about accessories and other things that could complement it.I decided to connect it to a Li-Po 3S battery, so that it would be convenient to do without being connected to the mains. I rummaged in the internet, I did not find any adapters like I needed. Thinking not a long time, .. taking a couple of connectors, .. .. it turned out to be a wonderful adapter, which I am sharing with you ...Everything is simple here, but I still have to clarify some details ... As it turned out, the caps of the XT60H and XT60I connectors seem to be similar, but if you don't look closely. And the XT60I does not have a male connector, and it is designed for Battgo technology, but is fully compatible with the standard. So, I took the cap from the XT60I, and the XT60H connector. Why? - if you decide to repeat it, everything will become clear. It fits better ...We also need a Type-C M socket. They are not difficult to find, however, I always indicate all the links where and what I buy.On the connector board, only the extreme power contacts are used, the data contacts, which are in the center - I removed with a mill so that during soldering I would pour more solder and not arrange a short circuit, which would lead to disastrous results. Can be cut with a scalpel ...On the connector pins, the XT60H cut grooves 1 mm thick and 2.5 mm deep to fit the Type-C board in them, thereby reducing the length of the entire structure and giving it rigidity. Then everything is simple, fill in with solder, but first carefully center both connectors. If you solder it crookedly, the parts will not come together.Next, in the cap we make a slit between the two holes. I used a mill, but you can also use a scalpel or a clerical knife.Assembly does not require glue. It simply sits on top of one another, according to the principle of a telescopic fishing rod, or nesting dolls, for example. And it's done ...Parts links below: Amass XT60H XT60I Male Female Connectors Plug Type-C Connector Links to used tools: TS80P Soldering Iron 30W Soldering Iron Tip TS80 TS80P B02 BC02 D25 K4 J02 MINI T-stand for TS100 TS80P Soldering TE01 TC01 MINI MTweezers DT71 Mini Digital Tweezers Soldering wire SANKI 60/40 low temperature melting point Soldering Flux AMTECH NC-559-ASM Soldering Iron Accessories Case HILDA Electric Drill Drill Press Stand Coordinate X-Y axis Table Vise for CNC Small Required files: tupe-c-case-stl.zip My favorites: Thank you for every tip or donation,it means great recognition for me and helps a lot to keep going!
