Adapter Plate to use Universal stand-alone filament holder on top of Makerfarm i3v Aluminum Extrusion

This is a custom-designed adapter plate compatible with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:508896. I created this adaptation because no optional plate met my specific needs, so I used Openscad to design it myself. The required components are a spare M5x30mm bolt, which was readily available, and three additional 3-M4x16mm bolts obtained from the local hardware store. A 9/64" drill bit proved necessary to slightly enlarge the holes in the tripod base for secure fitment. For best results, M3.5x14mm bolts could have been used; however, only M4 bolts were readily available locally. The adapter works smoothly with the aluminum extrusion and fits snugly over the tripod base's larger outside holes, where the M4 bolts are threaded in from underneath. This solution has served me well for several weeks except for the filament guide tube. When operating horizontally, its angled position seems too steep for this particular setup, leading to inefficiency. Although the original guide remains attached, it is utilized with more success by running the filament along the top leg instead of relying on it alone. In time, a definitive solution may be reconsidered. Printing and modifying the stl file or openscad source code should satisfy personal needs for optimal results. If opting to use 3mm drill out, carefully ensure holes in tripod base do not go completely through to maintain secure fitment. Pre- attaching one of the M4x16 bolts securely in place allows easier positioning for alignment with other bolts once the plate is attached. Then proceed by tightening it onto printer with one M5x30mm bolt first; finish installation by securing 2 additional bolts in the tripod base tightly and view complete instructions online at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:508896
