Adapter IKEA Halogen to LED lighting
thingiverse
This adapter is designed for IKEA's LED lighting in kitchen cabinets. I created it when we had to replace our old halogen light fixtures with IKEA's new LED lights. Unfortunately, the old hole was too small for these new lights, so they couldn't be pushed up into the old hole easily. Frustrated by this issue, I thought that the solution would be to screw them onto the cabinet ceiling. However, I was surprised again when I discovered that the screw holes in the new armature were tighter than the hole itself. In this case, the hole is too large. What do you make of this mistake from IKEA? Luckily, you're a happy owner of a 3D printer, so it's just a matter of sitting down at the computer and designing a suitable adapter. The results presented here work perfectly, designed specifically for IKEA's cabinets with 16mm thick shelves.
