I bought a kit from Naviplus to upgrade my 2011 Porsche Cayenne's PCM 3.1 head unit with Android Auto and CarPlay integration. The kit included a compact flush-mount USB port that was too tiny for the existing hole, so I designed a shim to fit it snugly next to the 12V power outlet under the glove box. This solution should work with most standard flush-mount USB ports, which have an inner diameter of 21mm.
