Adapter For Naked GEPRC Hero 8(9?) To Original GoPro Glass (Telesin ND-Filter Compatibility)
thingiverse
I was very frustraded when my glass broke on the way to the shooting. GEPRC told me they don't sell just the glass part and I should reorder their naked case for my Hero8 Black, but their glass is such poor quality - NO WAY! I like the case though and made an adapter so you can use the original Hero 8 glass with your GEPRC naked case. The glass is much thicker and thougher. This mod will increase the weight by about 3 grams, which is totally worth it in my opinion. Printing: - You will need to print with support! - print at 0.1mm layer hight if possible (i had to make it really thin, so you can't see a black frame!) - print with the bigger side facing up, that way you will have a clean surface for the glass - Material: I used PLA, but PETG should also work - Infill: there is nearly none, so doesn't matter, i had it set to 15% Assembly: - Clean the surface of your case - Pre-fit everythink before you put glue anywhere - Use superglue for gluing the adapter to the case - Use quality and thin dobble sided adhesive to glue the glass in the adapter With my Prusa i3 Mk3S+ this is a perfect fit. If you need a more loose version, tell me where you have problems and I will try and help you guys out! Leave a like and share your makes please, it is really appreciated, thanks :) PS: Can anyone tell me if GEPRC's naked case for the Hero 9 has the same glass size? Just so I know if this is for Hero 8 only or also for the Hero 9.
