I upgrade my 3D printer with a new MKS GEN L motherboard today. The USB port fits perfectly into an opening in the case, leaving room for the fan to stay in its original spot. This motherboard upgrade is a huge improvement - I'm thrilled not to recognize my old D9 board anymore! With it up and running, my 3D printer now boasts a real Marlin firmware that's fully up to date.
