The X-axis motor on my Ender 3 was overheating rapidly compared to its counterparts and I elected to install a high-performance 40x40 fan to dissipate the excess heat. I've left this solution in place for anyone who may require it, as a convenient resource. A sturdy flange with a minimum length of 250 mm and width of 50 mm securely attaches the fan. For optimal installation, four M3 screws measuring either 20 or 30 mm are recommended to firmly fasten the fan in position. Additionally, I incorporated a flexible component made from TPU material to minimize vibrations that may otherwise develop. If desired, you can also install a grill at the end, using the one I've already placed there as a reference.\n\nTo reduce fan speed and prevent excessive noise, consider adding a 47 ohm resistor to moderate its operation, ensuring it runs at an optimal level rather than maximum capacity.
