Update: Version 2.0 available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4893652 Adapter to mount old T2 lens to rpi HQ camera modul. Adapter consists of two pieces: -adapter with C-mount screw -adapter to T2 screw (M42x0.75) As I was not sure about the flange focal distance of the lens (whichI found on ebay), the two pieces can slide axialy. There is a gap of 0.2mm between both parts which allows the movement. Printing the pieces: Printing scews with a slope of some 1/10 of a mm is no fun. I used a prusa printer with a layer height of 0.1mm. Srewing the pieces into the cam (an onto the lens) needs delicateness, patience and the right amount of force. I needed some rework on the 0.2mm gap to get the pieces to slide to each other. Mounting and adjusting: Mount the whole assemly (camera, adapte C-mount, adapter T2, lens) and run the rpi (e.g. with https://elinux.org/RPi-Cam-Web-Interface). Turn lens to infinete metering and use object in far distance for adjustment. Move the two adapeter pieces until you get a sharp image. If you're sure about the adjusting use adhesive to fix the adapter pieces. About focal length: Due to the "small" sensor of the rpi camera modul, the nominal focal length of the lens teds towards tele. I used a 90..230mm zoom which acts like a telescope. The image of the moon was taken with 230mm. The tower in the other image is 100m tall and in a distance of 6.5km. Both images are not photoshoped or crpoed.
