Adapter 30mm opening to 40mm fan
thingiverse
Human: Jet another adapter?\nYes - I searched for this on Thingiverse but the adapters I found either didn't fit or became impossible to mount in the position I wanted.\nThis one can be mounted instead of the 30mm fan, offering holes to mount the 40mm-fan afterwards without trouble reaching the inner screw positions. At the same time, it remains very thin.\nI used this as an addition to trustfm's design for dual-fan cooling as seen in http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1337200. Although I like the maker, I don't want to spend extra money on expensive 30mm fans that typically cost far more than 40mm devices.\nThe SCAD-file is pretty simple in structure and allows for quick hacking for other diameters.\nHoles to mount the 40mm fan are chosen smaller than screws as I prefer cutting threads. M3 works fine.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \nDIY-Printer\nRafts: \nNo\nSupports: \nNo\nResolution: \n0.2mm\nInfill: \n0-20%\nNotes: \nI printed this in PETG, 230°C nozzle temperature and 60°C bed temperature.\nThe surface of the bed was ground with Kapton-Tape.
