Adapter for ASI Cameras on F6.3 Reducer with Annular Tightening This version boasts an annular tightening system with a rotating ring, elevating camera stability and performance. ASI cameras require a 31.75 adapter, which must be supplied and securely attached to the camera body. Four interchangeable bodies are designed to accommodate different backfocus lengths from various reducer manufacturers: Meade and Antares (85/86 mm), Celestron (105 mm or 86 mm for older "Made in Japan" models), and ASI cameras with two distinct backfocus options (12.5 and 17.5 mm). To print the adapter bodies, a variable profile is recommended using Simplify3D. The body should be printed in three stages: 0.1 for the reducer thread, 0.2 for the central section, and 0.1 again for the upper thread (clamping ring). This approach helps achieve optimal results. If you're familiar with Simplify3D but not variable profiles, consider learning how to use them. Alternatively, if printing time is not a concern, stick with a single layer thickness of 0.1 mm. The clamping ring and rotating ring are both printed at 0.1 mm, ensuring precise tolerances. The print settings recommend a filling percentage of 17% and suggest reducing flow rates to prevent thread damage during printing. To ensure successful assembly, draw the threads wide enough, but be prepared for possible screwing and unscrewing adjustments to achieve a secure fit. A correctly calibrated machine is essential for smooth printing. Print with reduced flow rates and at maximum speeds of 40 mm/s, especially when printing threads.
