I purchased a soldering iron comparable to those employed for the initial heat set press, but it has a display screen and controls instead of the original clamping mechanism.\r\n\r\nI modified the original clamping device to lengthen it slightly, and installed a transparent window on its cover to provide unobstructed access to the display screen and buttons.
