Adafruit Mini Thermal Printer Enclosure
thingiverse
I decided to build my own [Adafruit Mini Thermal Printer](https://www.adafruit.com/product/597) (Model No. 597) after reviewing other cases, to meet my specific needs. The outcome is a more traditional design that you can also tailor to your requirements. The top lid fits snugly against the back of the thermal printer, and there's plenty of space at the back for the electronics. I also added some extra room underneath the printer to reduce strain on the wiring. Not enough room for your needs? Simply change the **gearSpace** variable at the top of the script. Need a bit more space under the printer? Adjust the **printerZ** variable. The power supply port in the back of the enclosure is designed around a 2.1mm x 5.5mm female barrel connector. An OpenSCAD file has been included for download, so happy tinkering!
