Adafruit Light Sensor TSL2561 Housing
thingiverse
This housing component is specifically designed to house the Adafruit TSL2561 Light Sensor, making it an essential part for FTC robots. To secure the circuit board to the housing, it's recommended to use 2-56 screws. If your printer creates holes slightly smaller than needed, you can easily insert threads into the mounting holes. The outer mounting holes are spaced 8mm apart and are designed to accommodate 6-32 screws. However, if the holes are too small, you can enlarge them with a #27 drill bit to create through holes or add threads. Update: A new model has been added that is designed to hold LEDs. We've successfully used these 5mm LEDs from Vetco: http://www.vetco.net/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=15009. To install the LEDs, bore out the LED holes with a 5mm drill and then glue them into place. You can then connect them to a digital channel port on the Device Interface Module. For optimal performance, wire each LED in parallel with a 100 ohm resistor attached to compensate for varying light emissions. Print Settings You will need to add supports if you're printing the model with LED mounting holes.
