Adafruit Feather Doubler with 18650 Battery Mount (single or double)
thingiverse
** Update 8/4/2017 ** Updated the design to center the doubler, adding wall hanging holes for easier mounting. The battery holder has been recessed into the mount surface to increase strength and simplify printing. Battery end caps and supports have also been redesigned for added support when tightening wire screws. ** Update 8/3/2017 ** Extra gussets have been added to the end of the battery to prevent flexing when bolts are tightened, and a double-battery version has been included. I've been working on remote devices powered by batteries, and this battery case and board mount provide a manageable and maintainable solution for remote sensors. This design uses 2 M3 nuts and bolts per battery for terminals, allowing you to attach wires directly to the bolts. For the double-case version, you can run batteries in series or parallel. Mounting posts are designed for the Adafruit Feather Doubler - https://www.adafruit.com/product/2890. I use this board to add and remove Feathers, but you can use any board that fits, including LoRa/packet radio units, ESP8266's, and ESP32's. There is additional space for extra boards as needed.
